CHESS

Chess is known as a mind sharpening game which enhance the mental ability and IQ level.  chess is invented 1500 years ago in northern india in the 6th century A.D. and after that it spreads to persia and in the Europe.


                   


Chess is a very interesting game. In this game only two players can play at a time , each side one player. The chess is played on a board of 64 square columns called a chessboard.  There are 32 columns in white color and 32 columns in black color. In this game one player has black pieces and the other player has white pieces. 



The only condition to win this game is to defeat the king of your opponent. I am also a very good chess player and I have been playing this game for the last 5 years.This is a game in which your age does not matter.  Anyone can play this game from young child to elder person. 


The following types of pieces are available to the player to play the game and to advance the game.

●Pawn (8 pawns each side)
●Rook (2 Rooks each side)
●Bishop (2 Bishops each side)
●Knight (2 Knights each side)
●Queen (1 Queen each side)
●King (1 King each side)

The FIDE is an international organization based in Switzerland that connects the various national chess federations and acts as the governing body of international chess competition.

Chess Moves-
king - king can move exactly one square horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. At most once in every game, each king is allowed to make a special move, known as castling.


Queen - Queen can move any number of vacant squares diagonally, horizontally, or vertically.

Rook - Rook can move any number of vacant squares vertically or horizontally. It also is moved while castling.

Bishop - Bishop can move any number of vacant squares in any diagonal direction.

Knight - Knight can move one square along any rank or file and then at an angle. The knight´s movement can also be viewed as an “L” shape  laid out at any horizontal or vertical angle.

Pawn - Pawns can move forward one square, if that square is unoccupied. If it has not yet moved, the pawn has the option of moving two squares forward provided both squares in front of the pawn are unoccupied. A pawn cannot move backward. Pawns are the only pieces that capture differently from how they move. They can capture an enemy piece on either of the two spaces adjacent to the space in front of them  but cannot move to these spaces if they are vacant. The pawn is also involved in the two special moves en passant and promotion.


Check - Check is a warning move to the opponent's king before defeat the opponent it is a compulsory move .
